On a very cold and rainy Victorian day, these two K Class locos are in their element clunking around on a branch line in the bush. Thanks to Victorian Goldfields Railway and Steamrail Victoria this ‘mixed’ train was run on 17th August 2018. The mid-way station of Muckleford, an iconic branch line station and yard, is where the train was split – the passenger cars and K153 heading into Castlemaine, and after shunting the good trucks into the yard, K190 returned ‘light’ to Maldon.
